Press release, Skellefteå/Piteå, 27 August 2024: Tromb, a consulting firm in digital business development, is now becoming a subsidiary of the Ductus Group. Through this merger, the Ductus Group strengthens its position as a leading player in digital business development and IT in the northern regions of Sweden. Both companies will continue to operate under their existing management and brand names.
With the addition of Tromb to the Ductus Group, there are now around 360 employees bringing an increase in skilled resources mostly in northern Sweden. “We are now in a better position to meet the growing requirements for digitalization that the green transition taking place in the north demands,” says Rickard Åström, Ductus Group Head and CEO.
System development is an important offering for both companies. Ductus complements this with its expertise in, among other things, network automation and IT security, while Tromb has additional strengths in the form of digital business development and design-driven innovation. The two companies can now offer customers a broader range of services.

Tromb is established in locations where Ductus has a limited or no presence, such as Piteå, Stockholm and Gothenburg. Meanwhile, Ductus has offices in cities where Tromb is not present, such as Uppsala, Malmö and Kiruna. By joining forces, the companies will now reach more markets throughout Sweden.

Through this merger with Ductus, Tromb, which was previously a part of the Spin Growth Group, will gain a stable and long-term partner.
