WOMEN IN TECH
Meet Martina – a project manager who brings structure and clarity to complex IT projects

Leading complex IT projects requires structure, attentiveness, and the ability to align people toward a shared goal. That’s exactly where Martina thrives – at the intersection of technology and collaboration, where solutions grow through teamwork. For her, tech is more than just an industry – it’s a place where, as a leader, she can make an impact, grow, and help others succeed.
The path into tech
Martina was drawn into the tech world by her desire to create structure in complex environments – and by the realization that technology can truly make a difference in people’s lives. She was inspired by the mix of logic, problem-solving, and social impact. Today, she feels at home in an industry where she gets to keep learning, grow professionally, and collaborate in teams where diverse perspectives matter.
– Being a woman in a male-dominated industry, I also feel it’s important to be part of the change and show that diversity is a strength.
My workday
As a project manager, Martina is often the hub of complex IT projects. A typical day includes planning, coordination, and follow-up – but also many conversations, decisions, and trade-offs. She enjoys creating calm and clarity, giving the team the right conditions to succeed.
– For me, it’s not just about technology – it’s about building trust and providing focus so the team can thrive.

As a woman in a male-dominated industry, I also feel it’s important to be part of the change and show that diversity is a strength.“
Martina Lindgren, Project Manager, Ductus
What drives me
Martina describes her leadership style as attentive, clear, and inclusive. She’s passionate about creating engagement in the team and making sure all voices are heard – especially those that might otherwise go unnoticed.
– Clarity is a form of care. When roles and expectations are clear, we can focus on delivering together.
She also wants to broaden the image of what it means to work in tech – showing that collaboration and community are just as essential as the technology itself.
Team spirit and culture
Martina sees her team as a place where different perspectives are welcomed – and where people genuinely want to succeed together. She values a culture where inclusion and mutual respect come naturally.
One project that helped her grow was the work on the Swedish church elections, where she led an IT subproject. It was a complex assignment with many stakeholders – but also a chance to build structure and create spaces for collaboration.
– It made me more confident in my role. I learned that courage isn’t just about quick decisions – it’s also about setting boundaries and expressing what you need.
Advice to other women
– Dare to try! You don’t need to know everything from the start. The tech world is wide and includes many different roles – there’s room for structure, creativity, and collaboration.
Martina encourages other women to seek out environments where they feel supported, and where differences are seen as strengths.
– We need more women bringing their perspectives – your voice can make a big difference, both in the team and in the outcomes we create.
When I’m not working…
To find balance, Martina unwinds by spending time with her family, getting out into nature, or organizing things at home. It gives her peace – and also fresh energy.
– I also find strength in growth. Challenging myself, reflecting, and evolving as a person helps me return with both focus and inspiration.
