How did you become interested in tech?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My mum worked at Ericsson and I spent my summers helping out there. Over time I became more and more interested in tech and the challenges they were working to solve there. I decided to study Computer Engineering at Ume\u00e5 University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How long have you been working with tech?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve been in the business for 20 years. I did my thesis at Ericsson and went on to work there. First with development, followed by testing. After a couple of years, I started a business with some friends, where I specialized in quality assurance across multiple industries. That\u2019s where I came into contact with Data Ductus. I eventually joined the company in 2015.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does a typical day at work involve?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s varied. I\u2019m a Quality Assurance Specialist and Project Manager. I\u2019m developing our ways of working and managing a team of developers and projects, all with the same goal \u2013 to ensure we deliver the highest quality to our customers. In a \u201dtypical day\u201d I sit in scrum meetings, talk to customers and assess and refine processes and performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u2019s most interesting about your job?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It\u2019s the variation. I work with teams and clients in Asia, Europe and North America \u2013 that\u2019s a broad time and cultural span. I have a holistic view of projects and can help our consultants meet customer expectations by defining improved ways of working at every level. We have a culture of innovation here and that includes my roles too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What advice would you give\u00a0to\u00a0somebody interested in pursuing a career like yours?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Becoming a Quality Assurance Engineer is a great career. You need to be able to understand the bigger picture \u2013 from project requirements through to user needs. And you have to be able to dig deeper into any issues to find answers. It\u2019s a skill that will open many doors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What\u00a0do you do when you\u2019re not\u00a0working?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

I like to be out in the countryside, hunting with my dog. I\u2019m also a storyteller. I perform at theaters, cafes, people\u2019s homes, you name it. It\u2019s a fun way to challenge yourself and meet new people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
